A Charlottesville native, I began working at a goldsmith's bench as an apprentice at age 17 and immediately knew I had found my calling. Having already developed a passion for art in all forms, I was thrilled to put that passion to work with all the wonderful materials at hand.
Over the intervening decades I have honed my skills in a wide variety of styles and techniques, designing and making many of my own tools as I saw a need. I developed an affinity for precision sculptural designs utilizing the lost wax process and have since carved thousands of wax models to cast in precious metals and adorn with gemstones.
Yet, I still relish the challenge of creating exactly what I imagine from the raw materials at hand. With inspiration drawn from an appreciation of the sublime in the everyday, most of my pieces are one-of-a-kind, and all feature an exceptional attention to detail.
